The company serves thousands of clients in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, providing secure, high availability, hybrid, private, and public clouds, monitored and supported 24x7. With a highly-skilled team, MassiveGRID holds a deep and wide understanding of infrastructure technologies. As a result, the company can provide highly reliable and secure infrastructures. Following is the conversation that CIO Applications had with Mr. Vasileios Stoidis, the Founder and CEO at MassiveGRID to understand how the company helps clients grow through reliable, secure, and fast cloud hosting.
In your interactions with CIOs of leading companies, what are the challenges they face now in the IT Service Management space, and how is MassiveGRID effectively addressing these issues?
The challenges and the pressure CIOs face are constantly increasing due to the fact that companies, clients, and people rely on technology more and more every day in many different ways. Challenges span from Security-at-rest to security-in-transit and mobile workers, from reliability and capacity to budget, from new technologies and skillset to risks, from control, vendor lock-in, and documentation to hybrid clouds and flexibility. MassiveGRID has set up the architecture, the partnerships, and the mechanisms that achieve our cloud solutions to have:
- Reliability and High Availability mode as the basis that everything runs on.
- Physical and Cyber Security at rest and in transit with FIPS-140-2 certifications, Anti-DDoS as standard and Intrusion Detection and Prevention.
- Architecture that scales horizontally and vertically without limits.
- Cloud Infrastructures on client’s premises or in 200+ data centers around the world, Hybrid setups, and integrations with other providers, and in all cases, the control is always in the client’s hands through physical remote terminals that control the encryption keys.
- Full visibility and physical reach of the infrastructures and zero vendor lock-in.
We utilized our 17 years of experience in the cloud industry to create a high availability infrastructure that can provide top reliability, top security, and can expand vertically and horizontally
We utilized our 17 years of experience in the cloud industry to create a high availability infrastructure that can provide top reliability, top security, and can expand vertically and horizontally. This is the architecture that is used in our clusters around the world and also in our clusters in client premises. This architecture is operating systems and application-agnostic that offers our clients “High Availability” out of the box. Our clients don’t need to buy double servers and setup, test, and monitor the high availability mode themselves. They can set up even a single server, and that single server runs on a high availability cluster automatically. The high availability clustering runs on the virtualization layer, and our 24x7 team monitors and addresses any issues proactively.
Please cite a case example where MassiveGRID enabled clients to overcome hurdles and attain desired outcomes.
One of our latest projects is the H/A Secure Private Cloud Infrastructure in the “Company.co” building in 335 Madison Avenue in Manhattan. One H/A Secure Private Cluster in the building’s Datacenter and another in a disaster location for redundancy, connected via an encrypted tunnel, provide the basis for all the systems and servers for the building and the tenants.
Company.co houses a curated community of top-tier companies that span the innovation spectrum from venture-backed startups to large enterprises. Our architecture provides the security, reliability, flexibility, and expandability modern buildings need for their operations.
What steers MassiveGRID ahead of the competition?
MassiveGRID is not competing to achieve high positions in revenues or profitability. Our goal is to satisfy our needs and our passion for technology and innovation. We share the product of our passion with our clients. The only top position we care about is to be able to provide the best offer in terms of features and specifications at the most competitive price for our clients. This is why our clients are choosing us, and we’re very happy to have this position.
Our strategy consists of four pillars: Strategic Partnerships, Technology Architecture, Security, and Support. We believe that these pillars provide top solutions at the most competitive offers to clients today.
What does the future hold for MassiveGRID? Any footprint expansion plans or solution enhancement strategies that you can shed light upon?
The only thing I’d like to highlight is that the Cloud Industry increases the challenges of weak control and security over someone’s data. I anticipate a correction in that. MassiveGRID has already implemented the right architecture and offers solutions for that.
As we continue developing our technologies that are available in 200 locations around the world, we enhance our marketing efforts in order to reach out to as many CIOs—that face cloud and infrastructure challenges—as possible. Also, we’re listing on our website more and more ready-to-order solutions instead of having them hidden behind “ask us for a custom solution.” Finally, we’ll soon be launching our geo-clusters, providing real-time high availability among different clusters in different physical locations.
